2020 Year in Review (The Good Parts)

What. a. friggin. year. I can’t believe it’s finally over in just a couple days.

This year, I (like most others) sat with a lot of sadness, discomfort, disappointment, and fear—lots of fear—for many moments over the past 363 days. It started off hopeful as ever, the new year bringing a chance for positive change and a refreshed outlook on many things health, business, intention-related. And then everything flipped upside down and so began ~10 months of a LOT of shit. But I don’t want to dwell any more on the shittiness that was this year at many times.

When I sat down today to reflect, I was reminded that in spite of all of that, there was a LOT of good this year too. I got to witness 12 humans promise their forever to each other. This was both a bright light in the midst of a viral storm and a testament to the ‘for better or for worse’ vows they made. I am really grateful to have been a part of each of these reasons to celebrate, especially this year.

I got to document the love of so many clients and friends—those celebrating engagements, themselves, anniversaries, pregnancies, newborn bebes and growing families to name a few. The privilege of recording moments and memories so they can be held onto forever has never been lost on me, but feels more significant after this year.

2020 also gave me some really great times with my family and closest friends. I am reminded of that when looking back at my own photos from the year and I feel thankful for the memories to keep.

I am so ready to say goodbye to 2020, don’t get me wrong, and I can only hope that 2021 is real nice to us. But what I will take into the new year thanks to this one is a stronger appreciation for time and connection. Anywho, I just wanted to say thank you for being here and for supporting this little business of mine. It means more than you could know.

I hope you’ll enjoy taking a gander through a summed up version of the photos I was lucky enough to take in 2020.

Much love and a happy, happy new year!
Tero
