Fall Morning Family Session in St. Albert | Kate, Cody + Denver

Have you thought about how nice it would be to have photos with your pet, but been nervous about how it would go? “There's no way they would sit still or pay any attention to the camera. It would just be stressful.” Let this family session with Kate, Cody and their giant teddy bear of a dog, Denver be proof of how friggin’ great, simple, and real photos with your pup can be.

They don't need to sit still. They just need to be there. You will hang out like you do when there isn’t a camera around, and I will be there to document your family. We might get lucky and get a couple shots of all of you looking at the camera, or we might get a whole bunch of silly photos of your dog doing anything else, but they will be real and I promise you will be glad to have them.

By the way, I have been there. I thought having our dogs at our wedding would be too stressful and that we would be better off getting a sitter. But my (now) husband insisted, and the photos we have with those pups on our wedding day are some of the most special photos to us from the entire day. Pro tip: bring someone along to look after or take your pet(s) home after their photo opp so that you don’t have to worry about them. The cruel (gross, twisted) reality is that our pets don’t get to live with us forever, and photos help keep them close. Don’t let a fear of your pet being too excited, mischievous, smelly, or anything else be the reason that you don’t have photos with them.

So scroll down and look at this cute-as-heck family and let them be the proof in the pudding. Cody fed Denver all of the treats and we took advantage of when he wanted belly rubs. We didn’t fuss when he wanted to run around instead - we used those opportunities to take photos of Kate and Cody themselves (cause Mom and Dad are important too).

Okay that’s enough from me, go check them out!
