it’s so nice to meet you
I’m Tero. I’m a wedding and family photographer based in Edmonton, Alberta. It’s important you know that this is an inclusive space. Everyone with a beating heart who values kindness is welcome here.
My why:
Life is fragile and time is precious. We’re reminded of that again and again: in the slow days that turn into fast-gone years, in how quickly babies and our siblings grow up, and in the ache of losing someone we love.
These moments are all fleeting, and I want to savour them. Being able to look at a photograph and be taken back to a moment in your life feels invaluable to me. My work is about helping you hold onto the people and seasons you never want to forget.
This is why I photograph the way I do, and why I care so much about the quiet, ordinary pieces of your life as much as the big milestones.
Little bits about me:
I’m a wife to my best friend, Nate. We got married on my Baba and Gido’s farm in 2019
I am a mother to two young girls, Zoe and Scottie. They are the absolute lights of our lives
We have two mini dachshunds, Frankie and Elly
I am the most sentimental person I know—a sucker for handwritten letters, old home videos, grandpa's worn tools, and anything else that could make a heart all mushy
I have a Bachelor of Visual Communication Design from the U of A
I love hip-hop music, Pixar movies, and Second Cup coffee
Audiobooks are key to keeping up with bookclub as a mom
I fall up the stairs all the time
“Tero, through this process you became a friend. We were both looking forward to seeing you at the wedding since you radiate so much positivity. Thank you again for being so helpful and patient throughout the entire process.”
